Academic Readiness and Functional Language
At KITES Child Development Centre, we understand that success in school depends on more than just academic knowledge — it requires strong, functional communication skills. Children must be able to follow group instructions, participate in classroom discussions, ask for help appropriately, respond to teachers and peers, and express their ideas clearly.
Our therapy focuses on preparing children with the language foundations they need to thrive in academic environments. We target understanding and using academic vocabulary, following multi-step directions, answering questions in complete sentences, and navigating group learning situations. Through classroom role-play activities, group communication tasks, visual supports, and functional vocabulary building, we help bridge the gap between therapy and real-world classroom demands.
By building communication confidence before and during school years, we support children in becoming active participants in learning, socially engaged with peers, and capable of advocating for themselves when needed.
We believe that strong communication is the key to unlocking a child’s fullest academic and personal potential — inside and outside the classroom.
