Feeding and Swallowing Therapy
At KITES Child Development Centre, we understand that feeding is about more than nutrition — it is about connection, sensory exploration, motor coordination, emotional security, and family well-being. Feeding difficulties can impact a child’s health, growth, communication development, and social participation, and addressing them early is critical.
Our specialized feeding therapy supports children who struggle with food aversions, oral-motor delays, sensory-based feeding challenges, difficulty transitioning to solid foods, and swallowing safety concerns. Using a combination of evidence-based approaches such as the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Feeding Therapy, oral-motor strengthening techniques, tongue placement therapy for feeding mechanics, and sensory desensitization programs, we help children develop safe, confident, and positive eating experiences.
Therapy is designed to be playful, gradual, and child-led, reducing stress around food while promoting exploration of different textures, tastes, and swallowing skills.
Family involvement is central to our model – we coach parents and caregivers in techniques that create supportive mealtime environments and help carry over progress into everyday routines.
We believe that every bite is a victory, every new food is a milestone, and every joyful meal shared with family is a step toward confidence, health, and independence.
