Joint Attention and Prelinguistic Skills
At KITES Child Development Centre, we know that communication begins long before words — it starts with joint attention, gestures, and early social engagement. These prelinguistic skills lay the foundation for language, social interaction, and learning.
Our therapy focuses on building skills like shared attention to people and objects, use of gestures (pointing, showing, giving), early imitation, and eye contact during social interactions. Using approaches such as the Hanen “It Takes Two to Talk®” Program, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), and responsive interaction techniques, we create joyful, play-based opportunities for children to practice these critical early communication behaviors.
Through structured routines, playful exchanges, and parent coaching, children learn how to engage others, sustain interactions, and take the first steps toward meaningful verbal and nonverbal communication.
We believe that every glance, every gesture, and every shared moment is a building block toward lifelong connection and communication.
