Language Processing and Comprehension in Autism

At KITES Child Development Centre, we understand that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder often face unique challenges in understanding language, especially when it comes to abstract concepts, figurative expressions, and subtle social cues.

Our therapy focuses on strengthening auditory comprehension, concept understanding, inferencing abilities, and interpretation of nonliteral language. Using strategies such as visual mapping, story grammar interventions, and concrete-to-abstract language bridging techniques, we help children move from basic understanding to more flexible, nuanced communication.

Activities are designed to build comprehension through highly structured, visual, and context-rich experiences, supporting success in conversations, academics, and social interactions.
We believe that by making language more accessible and meaningful, we open doors to deeper connection, learning, and independence for every child.
