From the very beginning of my career, I, Dr. Samraj J Gaddam, have been driven by a profound passion to create real change for children with developmental needs. After graduating from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, I pursued advanced specializations, becoming a Certified Sensory Integration Therapist, certified in Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Behavior Management.

With an enduring commitment to global best practices, I completed my Post-Professional Pediatric Program from Tufts University, Boston, and was honored to become a member of the Honors Society of the USA – recognitions that deepened my belief in blending clinical excellence with compassionate care.

My journey in public healthcare as a Gazette Officer at Osmania Medical College gave me the opportunity to serve within one of the country’s most respected government medical institutions. Yet, amidst my growing responsibilities, a deeper calling stirred – a realization that families seeking help for their children often faced overwhelming barriers: fragmented services, lack of continuity, and an exhausting search for support.

In 2014, driven by a desire to change this reality, I made the life-changing decision to leave government service and establish a new model of care. Thus, KITES – the Kind Institute To Evolve Smiles – was born: a center dedicated to holistic, comprehensive, and family-centered child development services under one roof.

I was fortunate not to walk this journey alone. My wife, Susmitha Gaddam, a distinguished nursing professional and a topper from Osmania Nursing College, stood beside me with unwavering support and shared vision. Her compassionate leadership in Family Support Services has been the true backbone of KITES, ensuring that love, resilience and dignity remain central to our work.

At KITES, we believe that therapy’s success lies not only in professional expertise but in empowering parents, strengthening families, and nurturing confident transitions through every stage of a child’s journey.

Beyond therapy rooms, we have committed ourselves to national and international webinars, professional training workshops, community awareness programs and ongoing research initiatives, believing that knowledge, advocacy, and collaboration are the pillars of true change.
