Sensory-Based Communication Therapy

At KITES Child Development Centre, we understand that sensory processing challenges can significantly impact a child’s ability to communicate effectively. Sensitivities to sounds, textures, lights, or movement can create barriers that interfere with social interaction, language development, and overall engagement.

Our sensory-based communication therapy integrates sensory integration strategies, desensitization programs, and approaches like the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Feeding Therapy model to help children become more comfortable with sensory input that affects communication. Therapy activities are carefully designed to gradually expose children to challenging stimuli in a playful, structured, and supportive manner.

We work closely to reduce sensory aversions related to auditory, tactile, and oral-motor input, promoting greater attention, engagement, and willingness to interact.

We believe that by supporting sensory regulation, we unlock opportunities for richer, more meaningful communication across all settings.
